When someone mentions Scalextric, you probably have childhood memories of a track that worked for five minutes on Christmas morning before breaking. This widespread shoddy engineering inspired founder Chris Lewington to make much-needed changes to Scalextric. A former mechanical engineer, Chris has dedicated over twenty years to improving every aspect of slot racing, from the hardware to the electronics, and building computerised scoring software.

Miniracing is still very much a family affair. Chris’ son Will (computer programmer) and daughter Lydia (marketing and promotion) joined the team in 2018 to help revolutionise the global face of slot-racing entertainment.
